The Final Bore

Well, I ended up picking all the Final Four teams right in my McCann-Erickson bracket pool, and before the weekend I was in 6th place out of 51 entries. Unfortunately I picked UCLA vs. Georgetown to play in the in the final--and they both lost on Saturday. After that I didn't even care about the championship game. (Plus, I was bummed my mom's Bruins got knocked out.)

For those who don't know, Florida beat Ohio State for the title. My mom and dad told me the same two teams played for the championship in NCAA football too. I don't know what football is, but if it's anything like basketball I think I'll like it.

Anyway, in the end I finished in 16th place, 1 point behind my dad (he picked Florida to win it all, but made a lot of bad picks in earlier rounds). I think he gave me bad info on purpose, because he knew he would be embarrassed if a two month old beat him.

My mom finished in 9th place in the McCann pool. But she came in 2nd in her friend Missy's contest, so hopefully that means a sweet new toy for me!

I suppose the moral of the story turned out to be: when it comes to tips and info about sports, I'm definitely seeking advice from my mom.
